On Poush 5th, 2081, our school took us hiking. We hiked from Godavari to Marble Dada. First, we ate an early lunch at 9:15 AM in school. After lunch, we went to our classroom to manage our belongings. All of us were paired up with a partner for the trip. My partner was Simrik. Then our class teacher, Anjali ma’am, called us to line up on the ground. We got on the bus at 9:45 AM. We were accompanied by our teachers Anjali Ma’am, Manisha Ma’am, and Sushila Ma’am, along with Pramod dai and Dirghamaya didi.
On the way to Godavari, I saw mountains, temples, and farmland. The road was bumpy because there was construction going on, and the environment was very dusty. My friends and I spotted many car showrooms. My partner Simrik and I were talking on the way about our past experience of hiking. It was a long distance from our school to Godavari. At one point, I got bored on the bus during the traffic jam. Finally, we reached our destination, Godavari, at 10:45 AM.
It was my second time in Godavari where we can enjoy the natural beauty. The place is covered with green trees. FAfter we reached Godavari, our class gathered to take a group photo. Right after the group photo, we started hiking. I noticed that there were few people who were scared of the hiking path because it was slippery and dusty. Some parts of the hike included a steep hill, which made me a little frightened because of the loose rocks. Anjali ma’am was the last to climb the steep hills, so we started calling her name to give her courage to move forward. I even named this part of the hill the “Death Hill” because we almost fell down from there. After walking an hour, the view of the beautiful snowy mountains started to emerge. The view of the mountains was gorgeous and beautiful. After walking for more than one hour, we finally reached the top of the hill. We were tired and hungry. So, we ate our snacks with our friends to enjoy the food and view better. I had a burger and some apples for my snacks. It took me only a few minutes to finish my snacks because I was so hungry.
After spending some time there, we gathered to head back to the parking area from where we started hiking. Hiking down the hill was even more challenging, especially in the area with loose rocks. Finally we were able to reach the parking area. We took the same bus to come back to school. We reached school at 2:45 PM. After we reached school, we ate our snacks, watched TV, and packed up to go home.
Overall, it was a good hike. We got an opportunity to see the beautiful Marble Dada and its surroundings. I like to give special thanks to our school and hope that they will organize this type of event more often.

On Poush 5, my school planned a hike for elementary school. The fourth graders went on a hike to Godavari- Marble Dada. We were very excited to go hiking with our friends and teachers. The teachers who went with us were Anjali Ma’am, Sushila Ma’am, and Manisha Ma’am, and the supporting staff were Dirghamaya Didi and Pramod Dai.
We had our lunch at 9:15 AM and at 9:45 AM, we left the school in two vehicles because we all couldn’t fit in one. On the bus, we played many fun games. We saw many amazing views through the window. We also saw a statue of Prithvi Narayan Shah on the way.
After we reached the destination—Godavari, our teachers had to pay 200 rs for parking. Our buses were parked there and we even took some pictures. We started our hike at 11:00 AM. On our way we saw chickens, which reminded us about our English reading book. The book was about a hen named Hilda.
While hiking, we had to climb the slippery path made out of mud. It was a jungle full of trees, plants, and flowers. The paths were covered with marbles, and there we got to know why the place was named ‘Marble Dada’. We even found toys on the way. It was a beautiful place. When we reached the top, we saw a mesmerizing view of the mountains. We planned to take a rest and have our snacks. We shared the food that we brought. We had brought sausages, snickers, and dragon fruits. During snack time, we were laughing, eating, and sharing at the same time. Then we spent 15 minutes taking photos.
After that we started hiking down. On the way down, some of my friends took some stones, pebbles, and some of them even plucked some flowers. While coming down we were talking, observing things, and, importantly, we all were very happy. At 1:45 PM we reached the parking area. After that we went to the bus, but we were not happy as we didn’t want to leave the place.
We reached our school at 2:45 PM and ran towards the canteen to have dumplings. The hiking was really fun. We created wonderful memories together. The hike to Marble Dada was the best experience!

We went to Godavari from our school by bus. We left school at 9:45 AM after we had our lunch. We reached Godavari at around 10:45 AM. After that we started our hike to Marble Dada.
At first it was difficult for us to walk as it was a very steep hill. We all had difficulty walking in the bumpy areas. After some moments the hike started to get interesting as we all were talking and having fun walking. After walking for about an hour, we reached the top of the hill. The beautiful scenery of the mountain took our breath away. After we reached there, we decided to take a break. We sat and rested for a few moments. We also had some light snacks that we had brought from our home. We shared the snacks with each other. We felt like we were there for a picnic. Then after 30 minutes of rest, we started to hike down. It took around 45 minutes to reach down. We reached the parking area at around 1:45 PM, where our school buses were parked. Then after that we reached the school at 2:45 PM.
The hiking was difficult but very interesting. We had a wonderful time and even enjoyed the view of beautiful things like pine cones, marble pieces, chalk, and the green forest. We returned home with some unforgettable memories.
