Total Distance Covered: Approximately 30.5 km
Departure from School:
On 5th July 2025, twelve members from Deerwalk embarked on an adventurous 30.5 km hike from Jarsing Pauwa to Chisapani and finally to Sundarijal. Our exciting hiking journey began on a fresh morning as we departed from Deerwalk Complex at 7:08 AM. All 12 participants were enthusiastic and prepared for the long adventure ahead.
Breakfast at Jarsing Pauwa:
We reached Jarsing Pauwa around 8:10 AM and had a light breakfast to energize ourselves for the hike. By 8:40 AM, we began our trek from Jarsing Pauwa with full excitement.
First Milestone – Dhap Damm (Reached at 12:05 PM):
After a steady and scenic hike, we reached Dhap Damm at 12:05 PM. On the way, we encountered an unexpected moment a cheetah cub on the trail, which gave us a real scare. Despite the fear, we bravely continued together until we reached the safety of Dhap Damm. At Dhap Damm, we took a short break to refresh. We enjoyed snacks like Wai Wai noodles, juice, and captured several TikTok videos and memorable photos. The natural beauty of the place was breathtaking, and we all wished to stay longer. However, our journey had to continue, so we resumed hiking at 12:40 PM.
Second Milestone – Chisapani View Tower (Reached at 1:47 PM):
By early afternoon, we arrived at the View Tower in Chisapani at 1:47 PM. The panoramic view from the tower was truly amazing. We clicked more photos and videos to capture the moment. Due to time constraints, we could only stay there for 15 minutes.
Final Leg – Chisapani to Sundarijal:
Feeling the fatigue, we began the final stretch of our hike from Chisapani to Sundarijal. Though tired, we didn’t stop for rest and pushed ourselves forward, moving at our own pace. The trail was filled with steep ups and downs, making this portion the most challenging part of the hike.
After approximately 3.5 hours of continuous walking, we finally reached Sundarijal at around 6:00 PM. Despite not having lunch the entire day, our energy and enthusiasm remained high. Once again, we captured photos to mark the end of our journey.
Closing Moments:
At 6:30 PM, we had a well-deserved, delicious lunch. It was one of the best meals after a long and exhausting day. After resting briefly, we returned to Deerwalk Complex, completing the journey around 8:00 PM, marking the end of our 13-hour hiking adventure.
