As we progressed along the trail, the sweeping panoramic views gradually unfolded, captivating us with their beauty. The warm reception and hospitality of the locals we encountered along the way added an extra touch of charm to the experience, making us feel truly embraced amidst the natural splendor.
After approximately an hour of trekking, we arrived at our destination—the scenic Surya Chaur. The sight of the majestic mountains and the lively local shops greeted us, providing a truly awe-inspiring experience. Surya Chaur, celebrated for its sweeping views and vibrant ambiance, served as the perfect panorama for an unforgettable hike.
Continuing our journey, we clicked some pictures in the breathtaking scenery around us, capturing indelible moments against the mountainous backdrop. Neemjala Ma’am and Ruby Ma’am shared anecdotes of their previous visits to the area, underscoring the changes and advancements over the years. It was captivating to observe how the once serene location had transformed into a bustling hub with numerous shops and resorts.
After indulging in a revitalizing cup of masala milk tea, we opted for an alternate downhill route from Surya Chaur. Navigating the challenging terrain required careful attention, but under the guidance of Bijay Sir, we safely descended to the main road after an hour.
The return journey to our starting point was equally fulfilling, taking approximately 1.5 hours to reach the starting point. Ultimately, we concluded our hike and treated ourselves to a delectable Thakali set meal at 109 Restaurant. The hearty meal served as a fitting conclusion to a day brimming with adventure, natural beauty, and cherished memories.
In essence, our hike from Jhor to Surya Chaur delivered an unforgettable experience, enabling us to connect with nature, discover new horizons, and forge enduring bonds with the hiking team.
