The Journey Begins:
As we arrived in Jagadol, the crisp mountain air greeted us, infused with the promise of adventure. With our hiking boots secured and backpacks filled with essentials, we set off on the trail, guided by the whispers of nature and the camaraderie among the hikers. The excitement was palpable – a mix of anticipation and the joy of exploration.
The Trail:
A mix of excitement and apprehension filled the air. For some, the prospect of navigating through unfamiliar terrain was daunting, while others embraced the challenge with eagerness and determination. Yet, united by a shared sense of purpose and guided by experienced Rudra dai, we pressed onwards, eager to conquer the trails that lay before us. The path unfolded before us, leading us through dense forests and winding trails. As we climbed higher, the scenery transformed, revealing panoramic views of lush valleys and distant peaks.
Exploring Shivapuri National Park:
Upon reaching the newly built ticket counter at the entrance of Shivapuri National Park, we obtained our permits and continued our journey. Passing through the army check post, we presented our tickets, gaining access to the national park premises. The ascent began with steep concrete stairs, challenging our resolve and igniting a sense of determination within the group. The trail through the park was a blend of natural beauty and serene forest landscapes, each step bringing us closer to our destination.
The Summit:
After hours of hiking, we reached the summit of Tarebhir, greeted by the view of Kathmandu valley to the south and peaking mountains towards north. With a sense of accomplishment, we paused to catch our breath, we shared oranges, cucumbers, and stories of our journey. The moment was a testament to the bond forged through shared experiences and the spirit of adventure.
Return Journey:
As the sun began its descent, we embarked on the return journey, retracing our steps back to Jagadol. The Deerhold bus awaited us, ready to transport tired but content hikers back to where our journey began.
Celebration:
The day concluded with an early dinner and beer at the 109 Degrees Restaurant. Indulging in a delicious typical Nepali thali set, we reminisced about the highlights of our hiking. The laughter and camaraderie that filled the air served as a reminder of the unforgettable memories created during our adventure.
