On 23rd Feb, a group of 19 enthusiastic participants gathered at 7:40 AM to embark on a memorable trip to Marble Dada. By 7:50 AM, everyone boarded the bus, filled with excitement and anticipation for the day ahead. The journey was smooth, accompanied by light chatter and scenic views, and by 9:10 AM, the group arrived at Godawari, greeted by the fresh mountain air and the promise of nature’s beauty.
Shortly after arrival, at 9:55 AM, everyone sat down to enjoy a hearty breakfast, fueling up for the activities planned. With spirits high, the group began their hike at 10:00 AM. The trail started with a straight uphill path, which tested everyone’s stamina. Passing by a marble factory, the group continued their ascent, taking in the surroundings and sharing moments of laughter and encouragement along the way. The steep inclines added a moderate level of difficulty, which the group collectively rated as 3/10. At around 11:30 AM, the group reached their destination, Marble Dada, where they took a well-deserved break.
By 11:40 AM, participants spread out their materials and began drawing and writing poems. It was a unique moment where creativity met nature. The art and poetry session lasted for about three hours, culminating at 2:30 PM. By then, participants had not only created beautiful pieces but also took the initiative to give back to the environment. Everyone joined in collecting litter along the trail, ensuring they left the place even cleaner than they had found it. This small yet impactful act highlighted the group’s respect for nature and commitment to preserving it.
A highlight of the day was Saugat KC emerging victorious in a poetry contest, earning cheerful applause and a small prize with Kritishma Singh Maharjan being second. By 3:25 PM, the group had made their way back down to the bottom, their energy slightly drained but hearts full. Shortly after, at 3:30 PM, everyone boarded the bus to begin the return journey. The final stop was at 4:05 PM at Lete Thakali, where the group enjoyed a delicious meal, sharing stories from the day and reflecting on their favorite moments.
The trip to Marble Dada was more than just a hike but a blend of creativity too. From climbing the challenging trails and engaging in artistic expression.
