Hello everyone,

The hiking club scheduled a day hike to Baithali on February 5th, 2023. We arrived at the Deerwalk complex around 7:10 a.m. At 7:30 am, our bus boarded from Deerwalk  after introducing ourselves. We arrived at Banepa for breakfast at exactly 8:32 a.m. At around 9:32am, we arrived at our hike’s starting location.

Our hike started with a suspension bridge. The hike began after a group photo. We arrived at the next suspension bridge after about an hour of hiking. We stopped for about 5 minutes since everyone was fatigued before continuing the journey. We followed the hiking track rather than the built-up road; thus, the hike was really difficult. Some others found the ascent difficult. The organizers volunteered to help. Several really kind people met us on the way up. There was a volleyball court when we arrived. The locals, who were really nice, gave us a ball to play with. We took a short break to play volleyball. We thanked the folks before continuing on our trek.

After almost an hour, we arrived at our third suspension bridge. We were all looking forward to the hike’s last destination. The temple was seen in its entirety. We each took off our shoes and prayed to God. Nonetheless, when laying stones along the river, we made a wish. I was unfamiliar with this custom. After that, we departed the area.

On the walk back, we met an exceedingly sweet old woman. She let us re-fill our bottles. We talked briefly with her before departing to catch the bus. Everyone was starving and exhausted. We ate lunch at a Thakali restaurant at 3:10 PM. All of the students came to the college around 4:45 p.m.

Thank You.
