Deerwalk has always believed in the energy of the outdoors and the verve it transmits to those who venture. The total number of hikes gone, the places conquered, the time spent together, the memories made thus far, from the days of D2Haweye to the ones in Deerwalk; it has truly been an achievement to be proud of.
A total of 295 hikes, with 703 participants are in record via 2089 everestuncensored posts published thus far. The trips pushed boundaries and conquered altitudes of above 5000 with Yala Peak and Thorong La Pass being a couple of examples. The stereotypical image of an IT professional gets redefined when such numbers are stacked up.
As we trekked uphill to reach the base of Langtang, locally known as Langtang Lirung, the air became thinner and thinner, temperature colder and colder, sky bluer and bluer; but the thinner air brought a warmth of nature – a sense of belonging to this beautiful land – we call Nepal. Langtang Lirung is the utmost peak of the Langtang range, belonging to the sub-range of the Mid Northern Himalayan range of Nepal residing southwest of the Shisha Pangma. Including the Jugal, the home of Shisha Pangma, the Langtang Himal composites the western portion of the range.
