The trip was a full package on its own: swimming was refreshing as expected, Canoeing was a whole lot of more entertaining than I imagined, the barbecue was mouth watering, elephant ride was rather amusing.

To start off, I could barely sleep last night, not because of the hard bed but because of my excitement on an overnight outing from Deerwalk for the first time! I’ve always wanted to go and experience the fun, and I ‘was finally there! After Sandace and I picked up cakes and some important outing stuffs (as he was the organizer and he needed some help to get it), we went to the office just to realize that everyone was waiting for us to leave as we were already late. We were asked to concierge about some activities and then, we were off! It was Saturday, so the roads weren’t very crowded, which was nice, and it wasn’t a very far ride, which was double nice!

So it’s early in the morning and I am about to write a blog for the very first time about our trip to Nagarkot. As the trip was last Saturday, my memory of it is already a bit hazy. But I am sure for most people who have been on an outing with their fellow colleagues from Deerwalk, saying ‘we went on an outing’ is pretty self-explanatory. But of course, being the new guy here and having only been on one of such a trip, I have drawn this conclusion only from the fun loving fellas from Benecore, Hedis and Makalu; and hence readers from other sections of the office might not find it ‘self-explanatory’. So, I’ll try and cover the very gist of it as I continue.

We were the last of the group and probably with the least number of people to go outing. And I am not quite sure if despite that or due to that, the so called official outing was way more fun than I ever thought it would be. The outing started with a fine afternoon at Deerwalk premises where everyone was at their wits but the degree of fun and awesomeness of the trip escalated as soon as the 18 of us got on the office bus.

It was my first outing from Deerwalk. I was excited from the beginning on how it would be. And to sum all up, it was a good experience. I like to say it provided me a great opportunity to know my colleagues at a more personal level.

The day started off with some light moments at the office premises itself. Table tennis room was filled with laughter, excitement and fun. Bipul remained undefeated throughout the time, while other members were gathering for the outing. The bus left at around 12:15 pm carrying 24 team members (young guns looking forward for a memorable weekend).
By the time we reached our destination- Mount View and Green Peace Resort, Lapsephedi, it was almost 2:30 PM. It was a bit chilly there and some of our team members were slightly shivering as an unconscious response to the drastic change in weather than that of Kathmandu valley.
