Traveling is highly interpreted as the most amazing activity to do, and it is exactly on point. Those 2 days turned out to be a blissful experience for all of us. Feeding our soul with such amazing trips is much healthier than going nuts seeking for ‘happy things’ to do here in Kathmandu. I can’t wait to be part of another such trip. 🙂
It is the first and the largest man-made lake prepared for the Kulekhani Hydro Project. We were a team of nine and headed towards Thankot.
After I saw my name in the list of hiking teams I was eagerly waiting for Sunday 28-12-2014. It was decided that we all will go for a hike from Sundarijal to Shivapuri. I was very excited because it was my first hike from Deerwalk. I woke up around 7:15 am, but it was already decided that everybody will gather in Deerwalk complex around 7:30 am.
A hiking trip to Fulchoki. It was supposed to start from the outskirts of Fulchoki which would end at the communication tower situated at the top of the hill. Expecting the nature to take over with the sights of lush green terrace farming, snow clad mountains and snow all around us. We left for Godawari and had some breakfast near Satdobato. As we went, there was no sign of what we all had been expecting. This time, the mid December had been warm enough to melt all the snow on our way. Hiking was supposed to start about 5km ahead of the top, but with fine road and about an hour full of laughter and interesting discussions, we had already reached to the top.
Nepal is a wonderland of historical sites, natural scenarios, mountain peaks, hidden valleys, and entertainment.
If you’ve ever hiked for hours, relished a cool breeze under a blue sky, and experienced the true meaning of serenity, thinking, “I wish I could just stay out here” — you’ve tasted the real elixir to rejuvenate yourself. 23rd August was a day full of adventure that covered 10 kms of walking, in all kinds of weather and over constantly changing terrain.
After a long and somewhat tedious bus ride from our Deerwalk complex, we arrived at Dolakha for a fabulous lunch. We still had a long way to go till our final destination but, considering we were on schedule to reach there before nightfall, we decided to take a short detour and visit the Dolakha Bhimsen temple.
It was my first hike from the Deerwalk team as I’m a newbee here. As it was monsoon, we were all concerned about the rain, leeches and heavy sun that could possibly bother us in the hike. But, it turned out to be a perfect day for hiking since neither the sun nor the rain made any appearance. Everyone seemed to be pumped up for a wonderful hiking time. One of our friends suffered from an early motion sickness which was soon capitalized after the hike started.
It was a Saturday morning on 21st June, 2014 and it was my first hiking since I joined Deerwalk Inc. as an Intern along with my friends from college. The hiking expedition from Budhanilkantha to Sundarijal was arranged for the Interns and Trainees at Deerwalk under the leadership of Sandeep Neupane Dai. The day was cloudy and gloomy so I packed my umbrella and reached the Deerwalk office which was our pickup point.
It was my first hike at Deerwalk. The two day hike was from Besisahar to Ghale Gaun, so on Saturday morning we packed our bags and reached to the respective stops. We were 15 people along with Deepak. The weather was a bit gloomy and few drops of rain also drizzled down but we were still hopeful that we could complete our hike. At 6:15 am the bus picked us up and our journey began.
