The Dhap Dam hike was an exciting adventure that allowed participants to enjoy nature, challenge themselves physically, and create memorable experiences together.
Participants gathered at Deerwalk at 6:30 AM and departed at 7:00 AM, reaching Sundarijal Bus Park at 7:30 AM. After enjoying breakfast, we headed towards the hiking trail. Due to a long queue for entry tickets, the hike officially began at around 8:30 AM.
The trail started with steep stairways that tested our endurance, particularly for first time hikers. However, the beautiful scenery, fresh air, and clear skies kept everyone motivated. Along the way, we had the opportunity to enjoy fresh fruits offered by local residents, making the journey even more enjoyable.
After several hours of trekking, we reached Dhap Dam at approximately 12:30 PM. The stunning view of the reservoir and surrounding hills made the effort worthwhile. Participants relaxed, took photographs, and explored the opposite side of the dam, which offered another spectacular perspective. The presence of army personnel around the area also helped maintain a safe and secure environment for visitors.
Following our exploration, we began the return journey. While many expected the downhill trek to be easier, it proved surprisingly challenging. Nevertheless, we reached Sundarijal Bus Park at around 4:00 PM and enjoyed a well-deserved meal while sharing stories from the day's adventure.
We departed from Sundarijal and arrived back at Deerwalk at approximately 5:30 PM, concluding a rewarding day of hiking.
Overall, the hike was a memorable experience filled with scenic landscapes, physical challenges, and enjoyable moments of friendship and teamwork. The breathtaking views at Dhap Dam and the shared experiences made the journey truly unforgettable.
