Bhumika Adhikari It was the first time I went hiking from Deerwalk and I absolutely loved it.The excitement was abundant and I was looking forward to know more about my fellow deerwalkers. So, I woke up at 6:30 after the alarm went berserk and got ready to walk. I waited for the bus at Baneshwor for a few minutes while the cold wind hit my face turning mynose a little reddish. I was relieved to see the smiling faces of Pratiksha, Bishal, Roshan, Charu, Aayushand Nirvik who welcomed me into the bus. We picked up Rakshya, Nitish, Sudeep, Hari, and Nisha on our way ahead. We were all set to climb the rock or say rock the climb. I have heard somewhere that the best time to be friend with someone stranger to you is while travelling with them and that did come true. As the journey began and the bus sped up on the rocky road we started making conversations and the best part was to listen to Roshan Dai’s jokes and we couldn’t stop laughing watching him laugh hysterically. We stopped at a tiny restaurant for breakfast in Dhulikhel and continued the journey as soon as tummy got the yummy.
In a matter of minutes, racing through Banepa, I found myself in a soothing ambient, an unannounced heaven. The enchanting beauty of nature is always so good in the game of spreading positive vibes.
In a matter of minutes, racing through Banepa, I found myself in a soothing ambient, an unannounced heaven. The enchanting beauty of nature is always so good in the game of spreading positive vibes. We began our hike from the gravel road of Banepa and then walked the steep land to our destination, Mini Gosaikunda. The wind was playing with my hair. I took a huge breath and looked up. The sky was color of the sea on a sunny day. Giant clouds were rushing past me like ships on the ocean. The sun was so bright you could barely look at it. I didn’t feel the pain of blisters or the dry throat. All of my attention was focused on the view. Charu Di told me about her trekking experiences and I was astonished and inspired too at the same time. The felicity of being there gave me the feeling of returning home after decades. We settled down there relaxing in our own ways (talking, laughing and posing for pictures). We even completed the mannequin challenge. After staying half an hour in our concerned destination, we again walked ups and downs to the View-Tower. The tower stood tall and thin, I was conscious while standing on top of it, thinking the tower could be windblown. From the tower, we could see mesmerizing view of greenery on one side, while in other side the land sparkled reddish by freshly revealed Rhododendrons. We took a lot of pictures striking weird poses and played the game of throwing bottle from the top. I was tempted to stay in that place continuing our laughter (which still echoes in my ear), but we had to move on.On our way down to Chandeshwori temple Rakshya Di seemed busy collecting Rhododendrons. I was stunned by the architect of the historical temple. We came back to Banepa and had our lunch there. I loved the place we went to and I loved the company of my fellows even more. All in all I enjoyed my first hike and will cherish this memory forever in my life. It’s not been long since I have joined Deerwalk but I consider myself lucky to get an opportunity this soon to interact with my colleagues and superiors while hiking with them. And I can tell you that Ialready love them all.
Raksha Sharma It was my first hiking from Deerwalk, I was very excited. Our destination Gosainthan, was located around 30km from Deerwalk complex. We picked up all our colleagues on the way. All my colleagues were pretty excited to start the trip.We left for Gosainthan at around 8:15 a.m. We briefly stopped at Dhulikhel for our breakfast, after delicious breakfast, we headed towards our destination. Then we were ready for the hike starting from Banepa at around 9 am. We hiked through the jungle. The hiking was quite adventurous as well as fun as we walked along with tall trees, shadows, jokes, and singing. The hiking track was only going up and up. After around 2 hours of hike, we reached to Gosainthan, Where we rested for 45 minutes. Besides walking, we also took some snaps and enjoyed the pleasant weather. We also made two mannequin challenge videos. After a short walk for about 20 minutes from Gosainthan, we reached the tower.
The scenery was great. We were really enjoying ourselves with beautiful rhododendron and taking lots of pictures so that no moment was left uncaptured.

After that, we started to go down the hill to reach the 'Chandeshwori' temple. It was time to leave. We headed towards the Van which would take us to our next destination ‘Newari kitchen’ for our Snack. After a delicious Snack, we headed back towards home. It was a very enjoyable and memorable hike.
