At around 10:55 am, the bus dropped us at our starting point. Then, waving goodbye to our driver brother, we started our journey with great thrill and took our first group picture of the hike. It was so much fun to see the little ones' enthusiasm for hiking with their friends, sharing laughter and joy together. They showed off their caps and water bottles to their friends and enjoyed the off-roading experience in the woods. It was astonishing to see them exploring the diverse nature, sounds, insects, and water streams in the woods, all while sharing joyful and knowledgeable moments with their friends.
At 11:30 am, we reached the Gumba, but unfortunately, it was closed due to construction work. However, the students were happy to see an excavator on site. We sat in a shaded area for a while, listening to the chirping of birds and the clicking of insects. After a short break, we started our hike. Not far from there, we witnessed the beautiful Machhapuchhre peak, slightly covered with white clouds, along with the surrounding hills. We didn't miss this beautiful view and took a snap with our friends.
After taking the picture, we headed towards the 'chautara', which was a 15-minute walk from there. We took a rest and enjoyed the fresh air at the chautara. Some students chatted with the locals who were also resting there. We had our snacks and shared them with each other. After that, our school bus arrived, and we returned to school.
The decision to conduct the hike at this location was wonderful. The students thoroughly enjoyed it, and it was also a great opportunity for them to learn through nature.
