On June 13, 2026 , the dedicated staff members of Deerwalk Sifal School
embarked on an exciting and highly adventurous one day hiking trip. Although the excursion was initially planned for Lauke Jharna, last minute route constraint and scheduling changes led the group to redirect their final destination to the beautiful and hidden Konjyosom Waterfall in Bhardeu Lalitpur. The primary goal of this journey was to provide the school staff with a refreshing escape from their academic routines, test their collective endurance and foster deeper professional bonding through shared challenges and outdoor exploration.
The journey officially commenced early in the morning with a staff gathering at the school premises at 7:45 AM, followed by a prompt departure in the school bus at 8:20 AM. By 9:00 AM, the group reached Thecho, where we stopped for a light morning breakfast and snack break at Sweet and Chat House. To fuel up and beat the morning heat for the arduous day ahead, everyone enjoyed a refreshing spread of fresh juicy mangoes and crisp cucumbers , the atmosphere quickly turned festive as we blasted energetic hindi dancing numbers on a small bluetooth speaker we brought along, singing and dancing enthusiastically along the way. To capture these unforgettable moments , we frequently paused at scenic spots to take vibrant photos and videos, dancing together and creating fun Tiktok videos, incredibly lively and joyful.
The drive onward toward the trail head presented its own set of challenges, featuring risky, unpaved roads that tested the skills of the bus driver. Due to heavy, ongoing road construction blocks, the bus was temporarily unable to pass. Once past the obstruction , the team reboarded the bus to complete the approach , along which the group discovered and tasted organic wild fruits like Chitro and Alcha, adding a unique , rustic flavor to the morning’s adventure.
The official on foot trek began from Konjyosom, Bhardeu at 11.00 AM, marking the start of a grueling but thrilling trail characterized by steep inclines narrow ridges and challenging dirt paths . Rather than letting the difficult terrain dampen their spirits, the staff turned the physical struggle into a celebration by blastic music aong the trails, singing and dancing as we hiked. This vibrant energy and mutual support carried the entire team through the wilderness, culminating in their triumphant arrival at the magnificent Konjyosom Waterfall at exactly 3:00 PM, where the roaring waters and cool mist instantly washed away their physical exhaustion.
After resting, enjoying the pristine natural environment and capturing memorable group photographs at the waterfall, the staff began their descent, safely navigating the tricky paths back to the bus station by 5:30 PM. The high energy of the day extended right into the return journey as the bus headed back toward Kathmandu, with the entire group engaging in a lively, competitive game of Antakshari. While singing and cheering together in a festive atmosphere, the group happily munched on crunchy Wai Wai noodles as a late-afternoon snack, safely arriving back at the school premises at 8:00 PM to wrap up the day with a hearty group of dinner before heading to home by 8:30 PM.
Ultimately, the Konjyosom adventure was a huge success, perfectly balancing a tough physical challenge with unforgettable team bonding and pure joy.
