We boarded the bus from Deerwalk Complex at 7:35 AM after all formalities were completed. We arrived at Budhanilkantha Mandir for breakfast at 8:10 AM. Our hike officially began at 9:01 AM , after the group purchased tickets at the entry. The hike was approximately 21 km in total.
We found the hike challenging because of the stairs. The distance and weariness fully depleted us till we arrived at our destination at 1:30 PM. Even though we were scattered and whining about the lengthy journey, once there, we realized it was well worth the effort.
After enjoying the view, taking pictures, and relaxing at the peak, we headed back at 1:45 PM. Our feet were completely numb while descending and all along we were thinking of when we would reach the ticket counter. Time and again, we were taking breaks to fill us with energy. We were relieved after the hike came to an end at 5:30 PM. We reached the dinner point at Lete Thakali and then headed home.
Even though the hike was tiresome and challenging, the beautiful view of the mountains seen from the top made it worthwhile.
