We spent the first hour touring a few homes and a road through a village. After that, we climbed uphill through a forest and bushy jungle. We reached a playground called “Neupane Chaur” where we relaxed a bit, took some photos. The scene, as the sun reached its zenith, was spectacular. We had our snacks and oranges to recharge ourselves for the further hike. Then we traversed through the lush and mesmerizing trails of jungles. The trails were magnificent and wonderful surrounded by the wilderness. Although the trails were tough, we didn’t give up and walked continuously, captivating the beauty of nature through our eyes. After hiking for about three and a half hours through elevations we finally started marching downhill and we stopped for a quick tea break on Chandragiri Bhanjyang.

After having our snacks and restoring the energy we again started marching uphill towards Chandragiri peak. The path consisted of stairs as we ascended once again towards Chandragiri Hills. After wandering and wondering for what seemed like hours, we finally reached our destination, Chandragiri at the height of 2,551 meters at around 4.30 PM. Despite the exhaustion, the view from the top of Chandragiri Hills served as a breathtaking reward, making every step of our 8.5 mile hike worthwhile. After having our group photo at Chandragiri Hills, we all headed towards the cable car. The cable car descent offered us an idea of landscapes we conquered. On the way there by cable car, we had a thrilling experience as the power cut off for over five minutes. Since we all were tired and hungry, we headed towards the local hotel named “Hotel Manashanta”. As the name suggested we actually had our “Mana Shanta” with the delicious thakali khana set. After having our lunch, we all headed towards our home at 6:00 in the evening.

Conclusion

We had hiked for around 8 hours and I’d say this was one of the most amazing yet equally difficult hikes. The hike is an excellent way for us to assess our own fitness. The journey not only provided a memorable introduction to the world of hiking but also offered an opportunity to bond with the Deerwalk team and create lasting memories with them.
