ABOVE THE LAW ?
Some SC justices oppose the idea of the CJ, claiming that the declaration was guided by intention to win cheap popularity and went against the existing law,” a highly placed source at the SC said on condition of anonymity. “They also claimed that since judges in India and many other countries do not declare their asset details, it is an irrelevant issue here.
GAZAB KASHMIR, AAJAB NEPAL
Gazab and Aajab are Urdu words. The meaning of Gazab is: Wonderful, and the meaning of Aajab is: Amazing. There is a saying in Nepal “Gazab Kashmir, Aajab Nepal” (Kashmir is wonderful, but Nepal is amazing). Thus Nepal is more than Gazab, it is Aajab. It is amazing.
TRUTH WILL TRIUMPH
KATHMANDU; The Judicial Council today suspended Pokhara Appellate Court Judge Om Prasad Subedi ………
This is a recent story of a serving Pokhara Appellate Court judge. The main factor behind this news is not his personal affairs as stated but in my opinion, this gentleman has been penalised for speaking the truth. Many people of this world have affairs, some visible and some invisible. In Nepal anything visible is criticised, but the same thing hidden or covered up is accepted. There could be two factors that made this story news. One — on October 10, he criticised CA members when he spoke bluntly, directly and fearlessly in Pokhara. This was his opinion and the voice of the individual must be respected and heard not discouraged. This is what democracy is all about. You can listen to many interaction programmes on FM radio about CA members. There you will hear the people’s voice and their feelings are mostly negative opinions about them.
DOUBLE HAT-TRICK AND LOGICIAL CHEATING
Sad to say the current scenario of this country in electing a Prime Minister continues. Recently one of the loosing candidates, after six rounds of defeat, proudly said to the journalist, that this was not his defeat but the defeat and failure of the Constituent Assembly (CA). He further said, if I am a looser then who is the winner? In my opinion this is called logical cheating.
Colourful Teachers and Colour fool Education
For any country to develop it needs to maximise the use of its human resources. Education, awareness, and discipline are the keys to success. In Sanskrit there is beautiful quote: “Vidya Dhanam Sarba Dhanam Pradhana”, meaning, the wealth of education is the greatest wealth. Previously Nepal’s education system was strong enough for the required manpower of the country. The products(students)of the old education system were suitable for the jobs available. When the New Education Plan was implemented in Nepal a western advisor, Mr. John, came here and established an office in Keshar Mahal, Ministry of Education. With English speaking office assistant, some attractive lady secretaries and few drivers the project started sowing the seeds of disparity in the educational sector.
57% NO CONCEPT, 43% GOOD SENSE
Most people are aware that good advertising, marketing and salesmanship play key roles in promoting goods and services. We see a huge variety of advertisements and different approaches to selling goods all the time. For example, Nike, Rebock and many other multi-national companies develop their product logo and statement in a simple manner so that […]
I have always said that I do not discriminate against any caste, creed, colour, race, or community. For the development of this country I support a good cause whoever does it, a good intention whoever has it, and a good attitude whoever shows it. I support good people whoever they may be. In this context […]
Now Water Again ……
I always see these wall messages when I pass Nepal Drinking Water and Sewerage Corporation at Tripureshore. So much research and searching has been done in the name of water, billions has been spent in its name and where are the results?
This is an untold story of Juddha Shumshere Rana, ex prime minister of Nepal, have heard some time ago which I felt worth stating to the context now.
