345. What a Country
Post Date: 2nd April, 2009

Description:
This is the problem we Nepalese people are facing in the capital of the country. We are lacking the very basic needs. There are a lot of problems that we are facing right now and its not just political. We don’t have sufficient drinking water, power cuts around 16 hrs a day. We have running water once in four days and that too for 2-3 hrs which comes around 3 am in the morning so have to wake up at 3 am in the morning to collect water.

  3. There is no dignity in poverty… I don’t understand why do people keep on posting pictures of children to relate to poverty in Nepal.

  4. Photo is well clicked but caption and description is not clicked well by Shikhar. Moreover why this Photoshop thing to change saturation of this photo? If it is just to exaggerate the pity situation of Nepal then one true photographer, citizen, or any photojournalist should never do that to raise some vital question of our Nation. Don’t forget that any easy tricks in Photoshop can create very wrong impression of the real scenario. Let’s not use this tradition to portray DIGNITY of Nepal.

  5. Truly a relfection of the irresponsible government that does not know ,yet. what it means to run a country, and why the leaders were elected to the power..
