On May 8, the Verisk Health offices in the US went to F1 Boston and rented out both tracks for some souped-up go-kart action! These aren’t your everyday karts that you might find at a minigolf course, no… these are loud, powerful, and top out at about 60kph. There was a reason for the 30 minute training, fireproof jumpsuit, headsock, neck brace, and helmet!
First, an all-hands meeting to catch up on company developments. Then, we took both tracks and put about 10 teams on each, with each team having 2 or 3 people, and each team was responsible for swapping out drivers of their team car. The races were 60 minute endurance races, with the teams scoring the most laps winning. The best teams from each competed in a 25 lap championship race, with Greg from Waltham, Alexandra from Boston (now Waltham), and Nick from Cheshire, CT taking home first place! Snacks, drinks, pool, and darts followed.
