Hiking from Kande to Australian Camp

We started our journey from the office premises as we had our seniors, Pramod and Kapil, travelling with us. As we travelled along I got the chance to know them, and they turned out to be a lot cooler than what I was made to believe. There was enough merriment going on in the van as we stopped in few places for breakfast, lunch and also for other short breaks.

Hiking from Davis Falls to Shanti Stupa

Cool welcome by the nature along with the foggy sky marked the beginning of Saturday morning. Our group of 14 people was keenly waiting for an adventurous journey to Pokhara. Around 7:30 am we left the office in Kathmandu and headed towards Pokhara. By 9 a.m. we had reached Naubise where we stopped for breakfast. We had a mixture of chana (chickpea), puri (bread) and curry, which helped us fulfill our appetite. We left the place after half an hour and continued our voyage. DJ Sushant played refreshing songs in the van. However, we started feeling hungry again and had nothing to eat.

Hiking from Kande to Panchase via Pokhara

It was the most awaited moment in my life as I finally decided to go hiking. I was excited hearing the plan to go to Panchase, our hiking destination. I reached the office premises at 6 am, and I along with other participants left from there at around 6:15. The remaining hikers got picked up along the way. We stopped at Naubise for some breakfast. The trip began with laughter and greetings. Moving forward in our journey, we kicked off with a musical session, where our friends were requested to sing and dedicate the song to their loved ones.

Deerwalk IT and Services Teams (D and E) Outing to Pokhara

It was a cold morning of Saturday, 26th of Jan 2013. I woke up quite early and was excited as ever to go for the team building trip to Pokhara. I got pumped up with a breadth of cold fresh air as I made a short walk from my home till my stop at Teku. As I waited for our office vehicle, the sun shone with pleasant warmth and a welcoming glow. A few minutes later I was picked up and we made our way to the gateway out of Kathmandu, Kalanki.

Deerwalk BA Team Outing to Pokhara

Each individual works towards a common goal, and that is what makes the teams work. Here at Deerwalk, we value teamwork above all else; and the time for unwinding and getting to know your teammates beyond what they can do on a computer is amongst our greatest traits. For Q4 BA team building, we had settled on travelling to Pokhara. It is a miniature countryside surrounded by the mountains and one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. Pokhara got everyone super excited, no one complained to leave in the cold January morning. Ashay sat down with Bhoj discussing some last minute changes for a project as we prepared to leave. So on January 12, 2013, we set out from one valley to another; from home to paradise.
