Midsummer’s Outing to Khusi Khusi

The whole environment was fun filled where I couldn’t see a single person who wasn’t enjoying the moment.
We were heading for a two days outing, away from the comfort of our home and predictable daily routine of the office life. The purpose of it was team bonding while refreshing both body and mind. Although we spend a lot of time together with our fellow QA team members, we rarely get an opportunity to know each other in a more personal level. Initially, I thought I knew QA members well enough, as I work with them day to day, until the team building outing, which changed it all.
Hiking – a word that indicates walking in natural environments. How could I miss the call of nature? Geared up for the first official hike on 10th August, 2013 from Deerwalk. Reached office at 7:25 am and waited for other colleagues. We were altogether 15 members for the hike and the route was from Thankot to Kirtipur. We took office vehicle and reached Thankot, and then the real fun started.
Upon reaching Hnuman Bhanjyang, we stopped by a small shop to refresh ourselves. “Fanta” never tasted so good. This place was the border between Makawanpur and Bagmati districts. After about 10 minutes of rest, the journey continued. Vishnu and Surendra seemed to get confused about the path we are supposed to go, so discussion in that topic was also fun. Now we were walking through the graveled road. Heat, dust and difficult road, all were challenging us but we were now used to it and were busy enjoying every bit of our walk. Kapil’s humorous gossips and “beeeeessssst…” brought smile on everyone’s face even in such circumstances.
