I had a great day hiking with my fellow Deerwalkers, hiking from Banepa to Panauti. The hike started with the van picking us up, along with others at the Annapurna Hotel. Along the way we picked up Sushant and Lekhnath and eventually got out into the countryside. As we were driving we saw “the world’s tallest 143ft tall statue of Lord Shiva ” and we decided to make a quick detour and see the landmark. We stopped and saw the statue and decided it was indeed tall but not very old, built in 2010. After this detour we went on to the starting point of our hike.
Hiking from Banepa to Gosai Sthan
I arrived early at Deerwalk premises, 8 am to be precise, as I did not want to be late for my very first hike since having joined the company. We were only three to begin with, Ujjwal, Lava and myself; and we picked the others up as we drove along. Originally the plan was to hike from Panauti to Namo Buddha, but we changed our mind and decide on Banepa to Gosai Sthan.
Deerwalk QA Team Outing
Being the organizers of the first ever QA Team Building Outing from Deerwalk was a wonderful experience in itself. The much anticipated Team Building outing with high expectations of fun and games was scheduled for 13th- 14th July, 2012. Finally on 13th of July, we headed towards Balthali Village Resort from the Deerwalk office premises at around 4:00 pm. Passing through the dusty roads of Kathmandu, we reached Panauti, where we were welcomed by a little drizzle.
