The Nepal Sambat (Nepal Era), which was started by Shankhadhar Shakhwaa entered its 1129th with the Newar community from all over the country eager to mark the new year with different festivities and cultural programmes. The Nepal Sambat follows the lunar calendar. Shakwaa had freed the Nepali people from their debts contributing the money from his own pocket and had named the calendar ‘Nepal Sambat’. The lunar calendar is followed for all cultural events and rituals.
I took this photograph on Nhudaya Vintuna rally. There is lots of kid’s participation wearing cultural dresses and enjoying with friends and siblings

‘Peak moment’ caught in perfect time. Even a second before or later could loose the whole charm of this picture. To be able to push shutter in ‘Peak Moment’ is one good skill we must have to be better child photographer. Seem like Sangesh has that skill.
Besides, check the harsh shadow cast by the Sun over girl’s face, which is why pro suggest not to shoot picture in midday. But in this case, you can use dedicated flash to fill-in shadow areas in the face. And yes don’t afraid to use flash even it’s a sunny day.
Partial face seen at left side of the composition distracts the viewer’s attention from picture’s main theme, so it would have been better if you go for vertical composition, which I guess allow you to show those beautiful customs children were wearing.
Keep clicking Sangesh. Thank you for your comments there in my Blog and asking me for my suggestion.
yeah, nice snap by sangesh.
