Deerwalk Services started a monthly community service campaign named Deerclean. The first Deerclean was held on May 12, 2018 at Shree Machchhindra Higher Secondary School, Khanikhola,
Naubise, with the aim to reestablish and restore cleanliness of the school environment.

24 volunteers from Deerwalk Services made this campaign a huge success; each volunteer dedicated to enhance the school periphery.

The event started at 10 AM. Volunteers were provided with mask, apron, gloves and other necessary cleaning items. After proper instructions from Pramod Dai, 8 groups with 3 members
each were formed, each group given a respective task.

Some groups were seen cleaning the classroom; moping the floor, wiping the blackboards, sweeping the walls full of dust and cobweb while others were busy cleaning the courtyard collecting
trash and picking grass.

Some moved on to remove movie advertisement posters, banners of different political parties from the school gates. The school gate and its surrounding walls were re-painted and a new fresh outlook
given to the entrance.

The event came to a halt at around 1:30 PM and the volunteers headed towards Naubise for late lunch and grabbed a cup of tea at Raghu Dai’s house.

Deerclean, as a concept represents a powerful message of sense of duty towards our community and good hope of future Deerwalk events, as an experience taught us a lesson that a small group of
thoughtful, committed people can make great changes in the community.

This first event was initiated with managers, CAC, and admin staff with the aim to encourage other Deerwalkers to participate in such social works in the future.
