Nepal is enriched with Natural Beauty, magnificent landscapes, Himalayas, Mountains that attract people to visit and spend some time experiencing the majestic view of Nepal.
With the theme of Nepal Tourism Year–Visit Nepal 2011, Pokhara (28.25°N, 83.99°E, 198 km west of Kathmandu.- Source- Wiki) was decorated with colorful street festivals for the Eve. The festival went on for nearly a week, road filled with crowd, lots of new stalls and BBQs over the street. Being my 5th trip to Pokhara, I’ve never seen Pokhara like this before.
On Jan 1st 2011, there was a huge traffic jam and loads of vehicle parked on the way to Sarangkot. The area was filled with Japanese, Koreans and Singaporeans in the early morning. The above picture was a candid shot where some Asians were posing at Sarangkot with Himalayas in the backdrop. A nice and clear view of Annapurna, Machapuchare, Lamjung Himal, Manaslu and Boudha Himal can be experienced from the height of Sarangkot.
