All of us gathered at Deerwalk Complex at 7am and headed towards Dhulikhel at 7:45 am. We stopped at a Mithai Bhandar, Nala for light breakfast.

We then were ready for our actual hike starting from Nala, Banepa at around 9 am.

Breakfast Time

Starting phase of the hike was very hectic as it was very first experience for few of us. As we got used to walking, we started enjoying a lot. We hiked through the jungle route; it was quite scary yet adventurous.

We managed to cross the scary jungle route with full enthusiasm, it was a huge achievement for us.

We then stopped after walking for a while at Laxmi Cold Store, Nala for refreshment. Some of us drank ‘frooti’ and some enjoyed ‘kulfi’. Some of us even tasted the radish and the green peas grown on the fields by the local farmers.

We then reached Sallagarhi, and came to the most difficult phase of our hike “the great stairs.’ Those stairs almost made us re-think about us coming for the hike. The best part of the hike was ‘The end of the stairs’. Everyone was so much in relief to have completed the most tiring part of the hike, the stairs.

We reached our destination ‘Nagarkot ‘after walking for 8 straight hours, at around 5:30 pm. All of us were eagerly waiting to be served with delicious food. So, we halted at Country Villa, Nagarkot and enjoyed our dinner with some fun chit-chats.

Then, after resting for about an hour, we headed back to our homes.

Lunch Time

It was a ‘Hike to remember’ for all of us. We are glad to be a part this memorable hike.

  1. Thanks for the sensible critique. Me & my neighbor were just preparing to do some research about this. We got a grab a book from our local library but I think I learned more clear from this post. I’m very glad to see such excellent information being shared freely out there.
