On Saturday, July 13th, thirteen staff members embarked on a hiking trip to Ward Bhanjyang via Kanakot and Bukinchaur in the Dhading District. The group gathered at 7:15 AM at the 109 Restaurant for breakfast, fostering a sense of camaraderie and energy for the day ahead. After breakfast, the team departed Kathmandu in a van and arrived at Dhading School, where they took a brief tour of the premises. The visit to the school provided an opportunity to observe the local environment and interact with the faculty.
The team continued the journey to Talo Kanakot, making a notable stop at Main Kanakot. This location held special significance for Rudra Dai, as Kanakot is his birthplace. The hike allowed for meaningful interactions with local villagers, enriching the experience with cultural exchange. Upon arrival at Deerwalk Land, the team enjoyed refreshments including cucumber, corn, and Bhatmas. The fresh air and scenic views provided a refreshing break and an opportunity to appreciate the area's natural beauty.
The hike continued to Masiney - Spider Resort, where the team took another break. The final leg of the journey involved a walk to Ward Bhanjyang, lasting approximately 15 minutes. This section of the hike was particularly challenging due to the extreme heat, but the team’s spirit remained high.
The van met the hikers at Ward Bhanjyang, and they returned to Kathmandu for a well-deserved lunch at 2:30 PM. The hike concluded with the team feeling accomplished and bonded, having shared an enriching experience in the beautiful yet demanding terrain of Dhading. The hike covered a total distance of 8 KM, and despite the heat, the team demonstrated resilience and teamwork. This hiking trip was not only a physical challenge but also an opportunity for personal and professional growth, fostering stronger relationships among team members and a deeper connection to the local community.
