To start off, I could barely sleep last night, not because of the hard bed but because of my excitement on an overnight outing from Deerwalk for the first time! I’ve always wanted to go and experience the fun, and I was finally there! After Sandace and I picked up cakes and some important outing stuffs (as he was the organizer and he needed some help to get it), we went to the office just to realize that everyone was waiting for us to leave as we were already late. We were asked to concierge about some activities and then, we were off! It was Saturday, so the roads weren’t very crowded, which was nice, and it wasn’t a very far ride, which was double nice!

Since our hotel was in a great spot, we were able to walk to a lot of places. But I will come back later to tell you all more about those places. It was a cold day, unlike other days which were insanely sunny just the day before. I was losing my hope on having warm weather but then it struck me, it was not the weather but the people who would make this trip such a memorable experience for me. After we reached there everyone at once settled in their rooms and then again joined forces together to celebrate Mani’s and Sulekha’s birthday, which sadly I missed as I was dozing off from that bus ride( which I can’t stand) and I also wanted to recharge myself for the upcoming party.

Now it was time for some activities right, and a traditional activity was the paper dance. It was so much fun watching people carry each other and fall off, until it was my turn came which I sadly lost because my partner was not strong enough ( haha right). I was so exhausted and when it was time for snacks, I ate like a pig. Plus it was so good. Not sure if I was that hungry or I had never ever tasted such good chicken before. I had heard a lot about the way DW people partiy and even on the gloomy day, the DW faired inside to the Hindi remixes. I didn’t hesitate to show some moves and everyone was so hyper. After an evening followed by some snacks and drinks and more drinks we partied the night away. And yeah there was dinner too).. later on there was a bon fire too. Sadly I missed it as I was having more fun in the AC room, warm and cozy but I heard it was a lot of fun.

As the dawn reached us, I heard screams of excitement as the scenery was so breathtaking. The gloomy and rainy weather the other day actually washed away fogs and the mountains were sparkling above the clouds. After a lot of hunt for a perfect profile picture everyone enjoyed a major photo session. Then we had our complimentary breakfast and played some Bingo.

We got on the bus to visit the “Chiya Bagan” and once we got off it, it was a bit of a walk to the actual place, but since the weather was so nice we didn’t mind. Plus, the scenery was absolutely gorgeous!! I think I found my new dream home. 🙂 The gardens themselves were exquisite. We got to see the large plain greens like a carpet, which is one of the things I’ve always wanted to do, took lots and lots of pictures on the rock, which was dangling from some place and sent out regards to this lovely place. Ok, we now proceeded toward the bus; but wait we were at Lapsiphedi, remember, so we couldn’t leave without lapsi, haha. So some guys actually found ways to pick lapsi from the trees and we enjoyed it, alas.

I was really hungry and tired so was eager to finally rest on the bus. Yeah the bus ride was awesome too, as the scenery of clouds below us and the mountains didn’t actually leave us. Oh well…we really had an experience, and it was a great way to see Lapsiphedi, serene environment, “Chiya Bagan” without having to walk and ride so much. 🙂 (Luckily it wasn’t too far away!!). We were very happy with our show choice, too; it was exquisite!
I’m sure everyone enjoyed thoroughly and I can’t wait to go on another outing with the crew.
Until then…

I am new to Deerwalk and the QA team. At Lapsiphedi, the location and construction structure of the hotel was brilliant. I really loved it to be honest. There were a lot of dancing, drinking along with bonfire, bingo and visit to the Tea Garden. I had a great time.

One thing I will never forget about this trip is what I saw from the hotel in the morning. What an eye pleasing sight that was; the clear view of Gaurishankar Himalayan Range along with green hills and thick cloud covering the deep gorge of that region.

I really had a great time throughout the trip. I salute you and hope to be a part of more trips in the future. Thank you.

I had only been here for about a month and to go outing so soon with my team was a great chance for bonding with them. The outing was a great fun, and short hiking up the Chiyabagan only added color to the already event-packed outing. Lapsiphedi was a great place to be in filled with a lots of natural beauty; though its true extent of beauty was revealed the following morning, thanks to the drizzle the earlier night . Clear blue sky blessed us with the best possible view of the ever glowing mountain range through the sunrise.

I am a bit of a reserved person and only open up to people I’m familiar with; thanks to this outing I had a great chance to familiarize with my new made friends. And thanks to this outing, my comfort level with my team has increased and I do feel more at home now.
