We had planned to organize Deerwalk Futsal Tournament 2015 at the end of May, but due to the earthquake we were forced to push it back to a later date.

Deerwalk Futsal Tournament 2015 kicked-off from 28th June. A total of 11 teams participated in the tournament, 8 from the men’s side and 3 from the women’s side. The men’s teams were divided into two groups and league matches were held in each group. The runners-up and winners of each group qualified for the semi-finals and final matches. The women’s teams played the league matches and the top two teams with the most points qualified for the finals. In total, 19 matches were played and more than 130 goals were scored. The entire event took place at Dhanyantari futsal ground in Bhatkekopul.

The champion of Deerwalk Futsal Tournament 2015 from the men’s side was the Brainiacs and from the women’s side was the Powerpuff Girls. In the thrilling women’s final match, a late equalizer in the game’s final seconds by Ritu Bafna from Warrior Angels sent the game into penalties. In the men’s final match the Brainiacs defeated Lockheed Raptor by 8-4 goals. The audience seemed to be enjoying and cheering for their favorite teams. The top scorer in Deerwalk Futsal Tournament 2015 from the men’s side with 14 goals is Bikram Gautam (Brainiacs) and from the women’s side with 4 goals is Sabnam Lakhey (Powerpuff Girls).

This year, we had a prize distribution ceremony at the end of the final matches where medals, certificates, a cash prize and a trophy were handed out to the semifinalists and finalists by our chairman and CEO Rudra Pandey. It was a fitting end to the closely contested tournament.

Deerwalk Futsal Tournament 2015 was organized by the Corporate Activity Club (CAC). CAC would like to thank all the participants, teams, volunteers, photographers and videographers for their time and support throughout the tournament.
