Deertalk Season 2 had Manoj Shrestha, Pratik Kayastha, Prakrit Joshi, Rajesh Prajapati, Mani Raj Gole, Sangita Maharjan, Bibek Lal Shrestha, Merina Maharjan, Prativa Shrestha and Renu Dangol as its participants.
As the second season for year 2014 kicked off, everyone from the participants to the judges were pumped up. This season had some of the most interesting and competitive participants who were stars in their own right. Rajesh Prajapati never failed to give a consistent talk educating the audience with new things every session. Sangita Maharjan, with her grace and honesty never failed to deliver a promising speech, grabbing the attention of the audience as well as judges every time. Mani Raj Gole thrived under the spotlight and delivered with the utmost confidence and calm. Prativa Shrestha was a bit nervous to begin with but grew in confidence with every passing episode. Renu Dangol brought out a different side of hers; a louder, clearer and more eloquent one. Manoj Shrestha was competitive in every session while Merina Maharjan embodied the up and coming sharp ladies of the corporate landscape. Prakrit Joshi with his charming attitude and sense of humor grasped the audience, especially the female contingent. With a cool, swift attitude Pratik Kayastha impressed everyone; deservedly bagging awards in almost all the sessions. Lastly, Bibek Lal Shrestha, the winner of the season stood out. His unusual yet fascinating topics delivered with confidence and charisma, his loyal and extremely supportive fan base that packed the sessions every week, and his ability to deliver something amusing yet educational that made a fan out of everyone; all this and more won him the season.
The winner, Bibek Lal Shrestha, was awarded the book “The Kite Runner” by Khaled Hosseini while the runner up, Pratik Kayastha, got “Paradise In Our Backyard” by Karna Shakya.
