The D2 soccer players gathered for another round of pick-up game on Wednesday, Sep 17th on the baseball field on South Street. The chilliness in the air was a cruel reminder that the New England winter is approaching soon and we do not have a lot of Wednesdays for the soccer. The interest in the game however has been great and we had 14 players and a camera man (Siddhi).

The team was split into 7 a side with Pawan S leading the South End and John C the North End. The game was well contested and South End won 2-0 on the “best of three bhale-goals”. The South end had great ball movement and co-ordination. John C has threatened to move the whole IT team to East end of the office if they do not show a lot of passion and hustle in the next game.

Note: A petition has been signed by the players and submitted to Pawan S to find an indoor place for winter soccer.
