It was gameweek-3 of D2 Inter-departmental Football league and the excitement was still strong on as Rhinos played their first game of the league season-1. After relatively weak performance against D2 Devilz last week, Data Daemons were all geared up to host the stubborn Verisk Rhinos.

Daemons made several changes in starting lineup from last game. Both teams were equally poised until Chandra scored the first goal for Daemons. Nikesh provided a beautiful ball in 17th minute from right corner of Rhinos D-box for Chandra for the first goal of Daemons. Both teams tried but there were very few attempts from both sides in the first half.Sudeep missed a good chance to double there lead just before the first half whistle went off.

2nd half saw more stronger Data teams as they seemed controlling the ball in the field. Among few chances from IT team, Nabin saved a decent Rhinos attempt in the 34th minute. Himal missed another Rhinos oppurtunity to equalize in 40th minute. Rhinos were compelled to concede 2nd goal in 52nd minute as narrow
angle shot from Nikesh went past Prabesh’s body. Pradipna attempted to clear the ball off the line as well but it was already late; the ball was already behind the goal line. Rhinos got a consolation goal in the 59th minute when Surendra tapped in rebound ball from Himal’s shot. The game ended with final score of 2-1 which saw Daemons in top of the points table along with Devilz, ofcourse with one more game played than other teams.
