After a series of ups and downs with the Goethals Alumni Team and Tudikhel United, Team D2 tried their luck with some fresh pair of legs and set up an unplanned match with BE Second year guys of Pulchowk Campus Hostel. Since only 7 team members from D2 showed up on time not anticipating a match, D2 had to find 4 under-14 aspirants practicing in the ground to include in the team.

Since only 7 team members from D2 showed up on time not anticipating a match, D2 had to find 4 under-14 aspirants practicing in the ground to include in the team. As a consequence, the team, especially the new looking back four, started in a messy fashion and conceded two early goals. The team immediately changed its defensive tactics to sweeper system and it paid off as D2 started to recover its shape slowly and before half time a quick succession of goals changed the score to 3-2 in favor of D2. D2 continued its dominance till the end and added a goal in the second half to finish the game 4-2.

Sajan opened up the scoring for D2 with a superb through pass from Hitesh. The midfield duo combined again as Sajan took a quick free kick outside the box to provide the ball to Hitesh, who then landed the ball on the back of the net to score his second goal in as many games. On the brink of half time, D2’s on-loan striker took a solo run from the centre and scored from a difficult angle. Sajan scored his second towards the end to seal off the game. The D2 team now seems to be materializing with Prakash back on the defensive duties. The experimental set up of playing Biswa on the right wing also created some good moves.
