Leaving aside a few settlements from Kathmandu, a hike trail through forests lead to Chisapani, a hilltop at an altitude of 2375m. Chisapani provides excellent short tramp which is renowned among hikers. It is situated on top of a tall ridge with commanding panoramic view of the stunning, unending and seamless Himalayas. Chisapani provides one of the most spectacular outlooks of the Annapurna range in the Valley.

The range stretches from Dhaulagiri far in the west to Annapurna, Manaslu, Himchuli, Shisapangma, Dorje Lakpa, Lugar range, Gaurishankar to Kanchanjunga in the east. It is also the first stop in the famous Helambu trek route. A stroll around the place at dusk amidst the friendly locals, taking in the splendor of the beautiful landscape and the cool breeze that blow through it; a man can easily lose himself in the serenity of Chisapani.
