A supermoon is a new or full moon that happens to coincide with a close approach of the moon to the earth. Saturday’s full moon was the closest it has been to Earth in 18 years, according to Spaceweather.com.

Festival of Lights & Happiness
The name Tihar means the festival of lights, where many candles are lit both inside and outside the houses to make it bright at night. The five-day festival is considered to be of great importance as it shows reverence to not just the humans and the Gods, but also to the animals like crow, cow and dog, who maintain an intense relationship with the humans.

The Five Elements of Santa Cruz Island
In the history book, the island Santa Cruz offers many interesting chapters: being disconnected from the rest of the world until mid-18th century ( Chumas people enjoyed the disconnection before) , being controlled by several missionaries and expeditions, serving as one of the most critical base during the World War II and some point being the largest privately owned island. Today this has become a national park, one of the attractive destinations for island packers.
