Biswas Lohani’s US Visit

“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page”.

July 10, 2017 the day arrived, all my bags were packed and I was ready to go. Although it was my second visit to US, the excitement and thrill was never the less. I headed towards the airport early morning since I have a plane to catch. Kathmandu to Istanbul and then to Boston, the route was fixed and the adventure started. After all the hustles in Boston airport, I finally met Abanish dai and headed towards to meet Smriti di, my hosts throughout my stay in USA.

Deerwalk Inc, Lexington, this busiest place has not changed. After the warm welcome by the team over there, it was time to start the work. Once a wise man said “A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions.” Lots of emails, meetings and long Skype calls to Nepal team,

it was a great opportunity to work from there and experience many new things that I was never aware of.

it was a great opportunity to work from there and experience many new things that I was never aware of. I could actually understand how to carefully handle the urgent issues reported by the clients.

Apart from office, there was a time to visit different places within Boston like Harvard Square, Park Street, Downtown, Easton Beach and many more. The weather was pleasant (sometimes rainy though!!) which made my visit a great experience. Besides Massachusetts state, I included New York, New Hampshire and California in my Travel logs. Besides different culture, traditions, the most highlighting part was trying different foods that I missed during my first visit.

Lastly, I would like to thank Rudra dai for giving me the opportunity, Smriti di for making me feel at home and Rob for being an amazing mentor. I would also like to thank the whole Deerwalk team for giving me this opportunity to learn new things for which I can say “I am not the same, having seen the moon shine on the other side of the world.”
