Rainy season (June-July) is time for planting paddy here in Nepal but monsoon rains are yet come in full force and many farmers awaits more rains so that they have enough water in their fields to plant paddy sapling. The Government of Nepal has been celebrating National Paddy Day on Ashadh 15 (Nepali Calendar) annually.

wow, awesome article post.Really thank you! Fantastic.
why is the image so saturated ? Can’t see the image for a long …
‘Monsoon Mood’ that’s exactly what I felt looking at this picture. Well composed picture of green paddy fields by Jay Shrestha. This year I missed ‘Ashad 15’ (Auspicious day in Nepali Calendar for planting rice, which is also celebrated as ‘Ropai Jatra’ in the country). Still I am optimistic to go out this monsoon and take some beautiful pictures of framers planting paddy merrily.
wonderful
