पुग्यो हिले। Everyone was taken away by the beauty of hile. cold air as if it looks like evening six at 11 AM. in addiction to Tumba Shukati and Badel meat were simply awesome. मज्जा गर्दा गर्दै ३ घंटा पास भो र हाम्रो “Hiking to estern reason of nepal” पनि complete भो।

I thank you God for this most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees, and for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes.
So, yes !! another incredible tour down to the north heading all the way through east. It felt overwhelming right from the beginning (i.e right from the point we kept our feet inside the van). This was my first oppurtunity to visit the northern side of Nepal. As I expected, continuous pleasure and stunning presence of nature all the way.It was a feeling that a father gets when he sees his newly born child. In the same manner , I felt like “Man, this is what so called nature is all about. There is so much peace and serenity sleeps in the way.”
There is a saying,
“As you sit on the hillside, or lie prone under the trees of the forest, or sprawl wet-legged by a mountain stream, the great door, that does not look like a door, opens.”
~Stephen Graham, The Gentle Art of Tramping
It felt like the door to the heaven just opened up to me and I am dancing to the natures euphonious beat.

“Why think about that when all the golden land’s ahead of you and all kinds of unforeseen events wait lurking to surprise you and make you glad you’re alive to see?”
– Jack Kerouac, On the Road
When I found out that this time there was 3 days hike, Second thing that hit my mind was where was the destination. Later I found out that it was one of the most ambitious hike “Dharan ,Dhankuta ,Hile”.I guess most of us have heard about “Dharan ,Dhankuta ,Hile” and have wanted to go there at least one time if they love to travel and I was happy to be part of this tour. Next thing that came to my mind was maybe I will be able understand one of my favorite read, “On the Road” by Jack Kerouac. First thing I could recall was ‘Koshi River’,I could never have imagined this river to be so immense;it looked like sea at some level. We had a memorable event that surely everyone will remember for long time to come. Passing alley of Dharan was quite interesting and visit to B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) refreshing. Another thing we could never forget was that we had dinner at 3:00 am at Narayanghat and then, after a brief sleep for about 2 hours,we headed for Dharan/ Bhedatar. At Bhedatar, the atmosphere was so chilled and we were surrounded with intense fog,so had to revert back to Dharan bazaar to rest for the night.I was glad when we reached Hile, our final destination. If I look back and recall memories filled with laughter, road, places and new faces along the road.

You need to visit Nepal to know its beauty, it is much different than the one as shown in TV. Thanks D2 for providing the chance to feel it. Nepal is equally beautiful from East to West, just the flavours are different.

After a long and continuous search for an appropriate destination, this time we were able to organise this short tour of the Eastern Region of Nepal. Special thanks to Vishnu dai for helping us to make this trip happen. Since everyone is writing something about their experience, I want to focus on the location and its special food, that we enjoyed/villified during the trip.
• Narayanghat : Lunch at 3am supplemented the thought “Bhojan bhanda bhoke mitho”
• Dhalkebar: Fried Bagedi(a small sparrow sized bird) was wow
• Koshi dam: Taja macha [we even missed boating for this, the first time around]
• Dharan : Food served at a local hotel definitely one of the worst in terms of taste..
• Bhedatar : Still remember the hot tea, alu chana and thukpa [we were even ready for the 3rd round]
• Hile: No words to describe the rich taste of food at this place
• Lahan: Just remember the insect and mosquito and yes chatpate was painfully spicy.
• Bardibas : Fresh bread [initiated by Pragya and was on and on]
• Hetauda : One of the best food of our trip

Everyone knows Nepal is a beautiful country but the difference lies in knowing and exploring.

My first trip to the eastern region of Nepal, indeed, provided me with a fair share of wonderful experiences to savor.
Despite being confined to long hours of driving, the journey itself remained exciting thanks to the upbeat mood of the fellow travelers. The high speed highway drive, the lush green fields, and the magnificent view of the Koshi river all added up to the already enjoyable trip. The serenity at the banks of the koshi river was specially so soothing that one could’ve easily been forgiven for forgetting everything else..
Fortunately for us, the weather chose to sway away from its extremes. Having said so,the early taste of chilly winter and a brief sniff of the notorious terai heat all accompanied us during the trip.
The final destination Hile greeted us with its pleasant misty glory. What followed was a delightful treat of hot tongba and tasty sukutis..definitely worth the long trip.
Thank you ram dai, your herculean driving prowess made this journey possible..

Trip to Purbanchal,
Some of the things that I have never done in my life; meal @ 3:00 AM in the morning, the longest travel ever and the shortest nap ever during the long tour. The fun, the thrill and the enjoyment I had there will remain cherished forever. Some of the memorable phrases like “Aur Bataiye”, “Hamare elaka ane doh phir batayenge”, “hum challis ko bata denge thik hai?” are still fresh and quite spoken these days around among the group.
The zeal and the passion to experience the chilling weather of Hile made the whole team alert. The best part of the overall trip was the highway road as we crossed Pathlaya towards Chandranigahapur:- The straight road with the speed of 120 km/hr was an wonderful experience and a bit thrilling the same time. Our team rocked Purbanchal. My especial thanks to Saurav dai who made the overall trip so nice and exciting with his native language and some maithile and Bhojpuri tone.

Pic no: 52 Little Billy – Beautiful Portrait.
Pic no: 71 I am the sea – Love the mood it has. Subtle colors can calm any restless mind.
Pic no: 93 Slip Kid is Photo news and pictures like these can easily get space in any newspaper. Buzz me next time if you come across with photos like this one which contains news and of public interest.
ravi,
thanks for this photo
isn’t this like “candle in water”.
, but i mentioned the other one, will show you sometime in which dharan was exposed inside a cup and at its top koshi falling directly from sky, spilling all over.
And no worries for the incident, lets remember the lights and forget the shadows. Lets keep the shadows for similar times so that they are not repeated.
opss!!! pic did not appear in the comment ..
