Snow of Grann

Photographer: Sarun Tuladhar Name of Snapshot: Snow of Grann Camera: Not specified.

I took this snapshot from my room’s window one morning as I woke up. It was a beautiful morning with very soft Sunrise. This place is called Grann and it is a traditional district in the south-eastern part of Norway.

Beautiful shot and I don’t think it is just a snapshot. Photographer must have had this idea of how he is going to framed it. Brillent idea to keep freezed ice columns to farme the shot, which give this feeling some far away village. I think the rising sun or setting sun whatever it would give a perfect heartbeat to this shot if he could include it. I like the shot.

Beautiful snapshot! And no doubt it’s taken from window. I can see reflection of ice streaks on the window glass. It’s a landscape shot and I think some human being in the scene would make it more animated. Overall it’s a nice picture.

Looks like it was taken right from a fairytale…
And those icicles seem like a witch’s claws waiting to pounce on the beautiful village…
Indeed, a breath-taking beauty…

Lovely morning and I enjoyed the landscape following Jane imagination. Well there is not much to give long verdict through photographic perspective but some ideas that could make this snapshot technically sound and interesting.

If it was intended as a pure landscape picture, Sarun could have tried this shot from open window without icicles at the right top. Doing so he can get rid of reflection and glare on glass.

Icicles pull viewer’s attention more. The idea of keeping them within a frame is pretty creative that allow viewers’ to feel the scale of landscape. And for not having any ‘point of interest’ snapshot looks static.

Anyway, well effort Sarun. Keep snapping and keep sharing.
